Paintball markers or more often called "paintball guns" are originally made for marking cattle and trees in by the farming and forestry industries in the early days. The earlier version of paintball guns (like of many of today's paintball guns) are powered by carbon dioxide cartridges. However, earlier versions of paintball guns are poor in range and have second-rate accuracy. The "cattle and tree marking" paintball guns were modified to reduce the velocity to prevent injury in the paintball game. The first paintball gun manufactured to be used specifically for the paintball sport was the "Splatmaster". Made entirely of plastic, the "Splatmaster" had to be manually cocked in each shot.

Most of the modern paintball guns are semi automatic. They can fire up to twenty-five paintballs per second (don't forget to duck if your opponent uses this type of paintball gun.). However, there is also a "stock-class" paintball guns for players who want to play a game with a low rate of fire and low ammo capacity. Pump action paintball guns are powered by a 12 gram carbon dioxide catridge or sometimes regular gas tanks. Pump action paint markers only have ten paintballs per ammo tube and is not spring loaded which results to what is commonly known as "rock and cock" action wherein the player must rock or shake the marker so that the paintball will drop into the chamber before cocking the paintball marker.

Another type of paintball marker is a sidearm. Sidearm markers are usually a pistol with a carbon dioxide cartridge for its power. Sidearm markers are either pump action or semi automatic and have a magazine with eight to twelve rounds attached to the gun. The use of paintball sidearm is very much discussed among paintball players. Some argue that sidearm paintball markers are essential on the battlefield when your main gun jams or runs out of carbon dioxide or ammo while some players think otherwise.

Paintball markers that are designed to look like real guns are called "mil-sim" or short for military simulation. Most of these military simulation markers are used in woodsball games. Military simulation markers are clunkier than other high-end speedball markers and they are painted in black or camouflaged to blend with the shadow or foliage. There are some paintball players who like to use hoppers on their markers while there are others who use magazines that are very much alike with real automatic weapons. Lots of paintball markers come with shoulder stock so that it will have a more realistic look.

Although many say that it is the player that makes a team win in a paintball game, there are also others who claim that having the best and more realistic paintball marker is definitely cooler than winning the game.

Paintball is one of the most popular outdoor participation sports around. The good thing about paintball is that everyone or anyone can play. There are no special requirements needed. Players can partake of the thrill paintball brings, regardless of race, age, gender and social status. The only requirement is a competitive spirit and the desire for adventure.

Paintball combines the elements of two childhood games, tag and hide-and-seek. Given the nature of those two games, paintball is for people who want to experience the unique rush that participation sports gives, minus physical contact. The objective of paintball is to capture the flag of the opponent while protecting his or her own. At the same time, players aim to eliminate their opponent from the game by shooting them and marking them with paintballs coming from paint guns. There are almost no limitations when it comes to the number of players, the limitation will only stem from the size of the playing
field.

The game can be enjoyed by people from all walks of life, whatever lifestyle or profession. There are no discriminations when it comes to paintball. It is a competition where the quickest and smartest survive. The chances of winning for each person are very fair, since old timers can find themselves being eliminated by neophytes. Men and women are equal in the game, and it is where the young do not necessarily have advantage over the old. To be an expert in paintball, a player must be able to think quickly, with precision. Victory is not at all dependent on strength and agility.

What can paintball bring to its players? Primarily, it builds character. Through paintball, one can garner skills on teamwork, leadership and self-confidence. The sport provides fun and relief from everyday stress, without the danger of injuries and death. This is a big plus for companies, and paintball is fast becoming a recommended activity for employees. Paintball gives the following benefits for the staff and management: morale boost, improved camaraderie, removal of the barrier between employer and employee, and enhanced group dynamics.

Paintball is available to everyone, and serves as an alternative activity for several events. Groups from college sororities, fraternities, athletic teams and company staff and management all grab at the chance of playing paintball. It is featured as a central theme during birthday bashes, bachelor parties, or just simple gatherings. It is an activity that everyone can truly enjoy.

Paintmask
Don't ever go out into the battlefield without a paintmask. Paintmask are also known as "goggles". They are safety headgear device that every paintball player is required to wear. Paintmask protects the eyes, mouth, nose and ears of the wearer. Some masks also have throat guards. The lenses of paintmask are engineered to stop paintballs; however one must remember that these lenses are not intended to resist impacts of paintballs traveling at enormously great speeds. Remember that permanent blindness or impairment in the vision can be a result if you are hit in the eye if you don't wear your protective paintmask.

Before you go out and play paintball, you must first have the proper paintball equipment. There are various paintball equipments that you must first have before going out on the field. You can either rent them or it is much advisable that you buy your own paintball equipment. Here are some of the basic paintball equipments that you should know.

Paintball Marker or Gun
Paintball marker is also known as paintball gun. This is the primary device used in this game. Paintball gun marks an opposing player when the opponent is hit by its paint ball. Carbon dioxide forces the paintball through the barrel at a high velocity, sufficient enough for the paintball to break upon impact, but not enough for some serious injury rather than mild bruising.

Barrel Blocking Device
A barrel blocking device is a safety device that is inserted into the barrel to prevent any accidental discharge of your paintball marker thus preventing injury to you or to others. All paintball fields won't let you play paintball if you don't have a barrel blocking device.

Propellants
Most pump action and pistol paintball markers use 12 gram cartridges. Most paintball markers use carbon dioxide because it is a lot cheaper even though nitrogen or high pressure air is a lot better than carbon dioxide.

Hoppers or Loader
Hoppers and loaders work the same way as a clip or magazine will do on a rifle or handgun. These two are the main form of providing ammunition for the paintball marker. Hoppers are the traditional way of holding the ammunition of the paintball marker. The most common and basic hopper is a black shell that has a hinged cover on the back for reloading. It is inserted neck down into the paintball marker's "feedneck" so that the paint ball can go into the marker one at a time. Loaders are very similar to hoppers, but it uses some sort of mechanical or sometimes electrical means of forcing the paintballs into the paintball marker's feedneck and down into the chamber for a much faster and steadier supply of ammo to the paintball marker.

There are also lots of extra safety equipments. However they are not necessary but they allow added protection for your body. You go for the paintball equipment that you think is necessary for your needs.

There are lots of paintball game variations. Some paintball games can be played outdoors while there are also some indoor types of paintball games. Although a few specific rules differ on every paintball games, all of those paintball games have one similarity, which is "to shoot the opponent or opposing team". Contrary to that paintball is also one of the safest sports.

There are many basic paintball games. Here is a list of the most widely played paintball games:

* Capture the Flag – this type of paintball game is like the classic schoolyard game. The game starts with teams on opposing sides attempting to capture or acquire their opponent's flag at the same time protecting their own flag. The first team to capture their opponent's flag and place it on a designated location (which usually is in their own base camp) achieves victory. Another way of achieving victory is by eliminating all the players of the opposing team.

* Elimination – the first team to eliminate all the players in the opposing team wins.

* Neutral Flag or Center Flag – very similar to "capture the flag". The only difference with these types of paintball games is that the game commenced with a single flag at the center of the field. The team that brings the flag to their opponent's end of the field wins.

* Resurrection – very much alike with "elimination", except the players may resurrect or re-enter the game in their starting station once they are hit.

* Just Plain Crazy – this type of paintball games has lots of names. This is sometimes called as "superman", or "counterstrike", or "total elimination". This type of paintball game can either be played with teams or individually. The game starts with each player on the opposing side of the field. They will then converge or meet on the center of the field. The game's objective is whoever will be the last player or last team standing wins the game. Most players of this game will eventually finish their paintball marker propellants, or run out of ammunitions or sometimes leave because of pain. Players in these kinds of paintball games do not get eliminated by a single paintball hit. They usually quit because of the inability to endure the attack if paintballs from every directions at a close range. This type of paintball game is usually played as the last game of the day when players want to dissipate their air supply and paintballs. This type of game is however uncommon due to its very violent nature as most of its players will eventually end up covered with bruises and welts and most of all in paint.

So if you and your friends want to have good time hunting, try playing some of these paintball games. It may hurt but it certainly will be fun.

Paintball has consistently prevailed as the fourth major unconventional sport in the U.S. In fact, statistical reports say that there are almost 12 million paintball players worldwide with 104 countries participating in various paintball competitions. This shows that more and more people are enticed to play this game.

However, it does not necessarily mean that the game is easy. Most of the players contend that they have experienced many trials, hardships, failures, and defeat before they were able to master the game.

Experts insist that playing paintball, just like the other kinds of sport, needs some skills in order to win the game. These skills are the primary tools that every paintball player must try to learn. Once they have mastered these skills, winning the game is relatively simple.

Here is the list:

1. Basic stance

The problem with most players is that they tend to face the bunker whenever they are standing next to it. This is such a difficult stance because it will give the player inadequate balance and a time-consuming response.

The best way is to stand behind the bunker with the foot that is opposite with the paintball marker or gun in lead. For instance, if a player holds the marker with the right hand, the left foot should be in lead.

2. Trick shot

It is important for every paintball player to know the psychological aspect of the game. This means that the player must know how to think and act appropriately according to the possible actions of the other players.

Therefore, fire some "trick shots" in an area where the other player is probably hiding. It does not necessarily mean that firing too many shots creates advantage. The object of this skill is to create a ploy that will instigate the player to respond in return if ever he is really in that area.

3. Run and Shoot and Run

Like any person in a battle, it is best to master this type of skill in order to achieve the best action and win.

The problem with most players is that they continue to hide thinking that they can win because they remain invisible to their opponents. The point is that a player can never win if he does not try to eliminate his opponents.

Mastering this skill will definitely give every player an edge over the others.

In every activity, there is an equal skill to master. Mastery of these skills will ensure that the player can win the game.

Having the proper paintball gear does not limit to paintball markers, hopper, tank and paintball mask alone. You should also consider having those little paintball gear stuffs that you think is not important. Extra safety paintball gear and equipments can mean a lot of difference between enjoying the day and not getting to play because of injury or defective equipments.

You should always bring your gun manual and gun schematics along whenever you go out to play. You will never know when you're going to dismantle or disassemble your paintball markers. But remember that manuals and schematics are useless without those allen wrenches right? You must have one set handy available at all times.

Don't forget to bring spare batteries with you. Don't let small things like a dead battery ruin your fun in the battlefield. Neck guards are good protection from painful shots in the neck. Opt for a lightweight wrap around strap for comfort. Wearing thigh cups is also a good idea. You will never know where you're going to be shot at with all the action in the field. Shin guards, gloves and elbow pads are also handy when it comes to running, dodging and crawling in the field. A little advice, don't ever take chances when it comes to the eyes. Replace those cracked or scratched paintmask, even if they are only scratched because they were hit at close range. Always have an extra paintmask available.

So many paintball marker problems can easily be fixed like replacing the cupseal and o-rings. These are small but very important parts that easily break and can cause your paintball marker to malfunction. To have an efficient paintball marker you must always lubricate it every now and then. Bring a paintball marker oil always with you whenever playing. Also have an extra squeegee when you are out in the field. You will never know that you might need it to get rid of some substance that is stuck in your barrel.

Once you get to know your paintball gear, you will have some decent idea on what kind of paintball gear and equipment to bring along with you. Don't forget the tweezers, pliers and screwdrivers. These tools are very essential in your paintball gear. Also don't forget to bring along some bolts, screws, springs, Teflon and, yes, duct tape.

It would hurt if you also bring along some first aid kits. A lot of things happen on the paintball field. You might not able to use it, but hey, it pays to be ready.

The main idea is to be prepared and ready at all times because if ever something comes up or all problems break loose, you would be ready for it.

Paintball marker is the most important piece of equipment in playing the game of paintball. Paintball markers or also called as "paintball guns" are used to mark an opposing player with paint or what most paintball players would call a "hit". Paintball markers are powered by a rapidly expanding gas, usually carbon dioxide or compressed air. The carbon dioxide or compressed air forces a paintball (the ammunition) through the barrel at a very high velocity sufficient enough for the paintball to break upon impact but not enough velocity to cause serious tissue damages.

Paintball markers have evolved rapidly. From a single shot, hand held, manually cocked pistol that was primarily used for marking cattle and trees to an electronically controlled, pneumatically cocked, full ranged firing modes markers. Early paintball guns were manufacture for the Forestry Service for marking trees. Most of the early paintball markers have identical functions and features.

Paintball markers have four chief components. These are the body, hopper, tank and the barrel. More known as loaders, hoppers holds the paintball (ammunition) for the paintball marker. Hoppers have lots of different variants. The hoppers principal methods of feeding the paintballs into the paintball markers are gravity, force feed and agitate feeding. Paintball marker hoppers that use force feed and agitate feeding have higher rate of fire than paintball markers that use gravity as a feed method, however they have a higher tendency of malfunction. Paintball marker tanks hold the compressed gas that is used to accelerate the barrel. The tank is usually filled with carbon dioxide. But some paintball markers use nitrogen or more known as "high pressure air". "High pressure air" tanks (HPA tanks") are more expensive than carbon dioxide tanks. Most paintball players prefer paintball markers that use high pressure air than makers that use carbon dioxide. Markers that use HPA tanks are more consistent and reliable. Barrels of most paintball markers come in twelve, fourteen, sixteen, eighteen and twenty inch in length. Some paintball players have markers with barrels up to forty-eight inches, because longer barrels are quieter and more accurate. Barrels below eleven inches have no accuracy and inefficient. On the other hand, paintball guns with longer barrels need more propellant for the paintball than short barreled paintball guns.

To increase the rate of fire of paintball guns in the early years means polishing the internal parts and changing spring rates. As the game evolves the rate of fire of paintball guns also evolved. Add on products are then attached to the marker for an increase in rate of fire. Paintball marker manufacturers then introduced various upgrade parts for paintball guns. Paintball guns manufacturers then began to improve the designs of paintball markers; moving further and further away from the original designs of the early paintball markers. Some manufacturers even produced markers that are more realistic, more military like paintball guns.

When looking for a cheap sniper paintball gun, you need to be aware of some limitations of cheaper models. Usually they won't be as accurate as more expensive snipers. This downfall is enough to often make people forget their low budget and start looking at guns which are priced a little higher.

With that said, it is entirely possible to purchase a used sniper paintball gun which can save you up to fifty percent of the new retail price. If you are purchasing used, ensure you thoroughly examine the gun and preferable be allowed to shoot a few rounds with it to gauge the build quality of it. You don't want to be buying a dud so do your homework before buying a used cheap sniper paintball gun.

The Longbow Sniper paintball gun may not be considered cheap however it is considered one of the best on the market today.
It feels like a real sniper gun. It also looks and feels like one. I love this gun!

You can feed this gun twenty one paintballs and still the gun remains light. The Longbow Magazine System is developed to allow you to carry additional loaded magazines which can easily and instantly be swapped with the push of a button. This makes the Longbow a revolutionary sniper paintball gun. The Magazine System itself costs around $150.

When buying a sniper paintball gun, whether it is cheap or expensive, you need to consider a few factors. These include barrel length, barrel porting, the sound of the gun (no point having a noisy sniper gun) and other things such as the look, feel, weight and functionality of the gun.

A barrel with porting will assist in the quietness of the gun, however this is not foolproof. Some guns with barrel porting are still loud. A pump gun will also be louder than a semi automatic. So keep these important factors in mind when shopping for an expensive or cheap sniper paintball gun.

A sniper gun should certainly not be bright colored. This is something many people overlook!
A sniper needs to hide and as such his gun should be camouflaged. Look for brown and green colored sniper guns.

Sniper paintball guns are excellent guns to use if you love to sneak around on the field. Whether buying a cheap or expensive sniper paintball gun, make sure you thoroughly check it out before purchase.

Are you a beginner in paintball? If you are, then you're probably looking for a paintball gun. You can do some shopping around so that you can find companies which sell cheap guns that you can use next time you play paintball with your friends.

The paintball gun is available in different varieties like blow back, hybrid version of blow back, semi auto, full auto, pump, and electronic. The prices of the guns also vary and it depends greatly on the type of paintball gun you purchase. Cheap guns can cost anywhere from $20 to $150. Cheap guns are usually lightweight and dependable; not only that, it's also trouble-free to maintain such paintball guns.

When purchasing your own paintball gun, you need to consider several things like air supply, action, construction, maintenance, and performance. The pressure system of the gun affects the price of the product and if you opt for cheap guns, the pressure system employed is carbon dioxide. Lots of beginners love carbon dioxide pressured guns because they can easily work with the gun. Companies that produce such paintball guns also offer warranty and you can also trust the quality of their products. Most of the guns are rated good in terms of range, accuracy, and fire.

When you purchase the paintball gun, it is usually available in a package or kit and it includes a mask, hopper, and air tank. If you want to save time and money in shopping for a paintball gun, you can choose a package or kit because that's already a great deal. If you want, you can compare product reviews online and while doing so, you can compare and evaluate the prices and the features of the gun. Some of the prominent names when it comes to paintball guns are Kingman, Brass Eagle, ProTeam, Maxis, Spyder, and Tippman. Online stores are great sources of cheap guns. The stores usually display the features of the paintball gun as well the manufacturer and it will be quite easy to check on the product's quality.

If you purchase a cheap paintball gun, you must not expect it to perform like the expensive gun versions. Remember that most cheap guns utilize the carbon dioxide system and so it often results to velocity fluctuations. Because of the fluctuations, the range, accuracy, and shooting are sometimes affected.

There are also cheap guns which are made from cheap materials. Professionals and veterans won't like the inexpensive paintball guns because of the limited accessories. That's why it's an excellent choice for beginners.

For first timers in the paintball sport, you can first look for inexpensive paintball guns offered in the market. Despite the limited accessories, you can already begin playing the game with your teammates. Soon when you're already more comfortable in playing the game, you can purchase a better quality paintball gun that will work for you.

Before purchasing any inexpensive paintball gun, you must not forget to conduct a thorough product review so that you can get a good quality yet inexpensive gun. Compare the cheap guns in terms of materials used, the performance, and some other important factors. After a bit of research, you can end up purchasing a good paintball gun that you can use to play the sport.

Join the fun and have all the necessary equipments so that you can play safely.

When purchasing paintball guns, it is vital that you choose the right type of gun or marker. Should you go for the new guns or the used ones?

Among the primary equipments used in paintball is the paintball gun or marker. There are now refurbished or used paintball guns sold in the market today. The gun's major components are the barrel, tank, and hopper. Firing systems also vary and your gun may utilize electro-pneumatic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and pump. Today, you can also find guns which use full auto, semi auto, electronic, stock, and pump. If you're purchasing a paintball marker or gun, the most popular brands are AirStar, Component Concepts Incorporated, Diablo, Bruizer, and Brass Eagle.

If you think that paintball is a very easy and inexpensive game, you're wrong. Paintball is quite expensive because you need to purchase several paintball gears and stuffs which are pricey. The price of the paintball marker or gun depends on the firing system, model and brand; guns cost anywhere from $150 – $1,800. If you want to cut down on the costs of the paintball accessories, you can purchase refurbished or used guns instead. Beginners are encouraged to purchased used guns so that they can save money and not only that, this is also one way to try different types of markers or guns.

The used markers or guns are highly in demand these days because of their dependability, durability, and effectiveness. You simply have to choose the appropriate gun that can meet your usage needs. Used guns are cheaper but that doesn't mean that quality is sacrificed. There are lots of used paintball guns which are of high quality and you can also buy them if you take some time to search.

When purchasing used guns, it is very important to check if its manufacturer is still servicing. Make sure that the paintball guns are also in good working condition. Watch out for sellers who offer used and defective paintball guns. You must have the right knowledge in purchasing used guns. Take note that guns using carbon dioxide pressure systems can't be reused; double check the gun's pressure system.

It would be best to shop in the pro-shops offering paintball gears and equipments. There are lots of pro shops in the US and they also offer used paintball markers and guns. Browse the internet and you may be able to find classified sites and auction sites offering used guns or markers. These websites are also excellent sources of used paintball guns.

Some individuals don't like to purchase the used guns because they find them defective. Beginners may find the used guns a good deal but for the professional and expert players, they would still prefer the brand new guns. If you can afford to purchase the brand new paintball guns, no one's stopping you.

Those people with limited resources can go for used paintball guns so that they too can experience the world of paintball. This sport is fun, exciting, and full of action. You don't have to be rich to play the game. If you want, you can also join the sport as long as you have all the necessary equipments and accessories.

Buy the paintball equipments now and if you want, you can purchase used guns or markers instead. The choice is yours; just make sure that you choose the gun you really like.

There are a number of different special ops paintball guns on the market today. A popular model is the SpecialOps Tippmann A-5A2.
This gun actually looks real. It resembles a true military firearm similar to a MP5 sub-machine gun. This is what makes it such a popular gun – people love a paintball gun that looks and feels real!

This particular special ops paintball gun has been developed with the Tippmann A5 chassis. It is made for the bush. You can use this gun in mud, dust and forest whilst crawling around and you'll be amazed at how it compares to a regular tournament gun.

The SpecialOps Tippmann A-5A2 special ops paintball gun features accurate firing capabilities thanks to the Quick-disconnect Remote Nipple. This tucks under the shooters arm and is easy to roll to the shoulder.

Many users of this particular gun have however recommended getting a barrel kit or a single barrel as the stock barrel is not the best. They also recommended getting a high pressure tank regulator.

A quality special ops paintball gun should feel stable and well constructed. It should not be too heavy and should allow for quick and accurate firing.

Special ops guns are aimed at people who love to play scenario paintball games. Although they can be heaver than other paintball guns, this is overshadowed by the performance and build quality of the gun.

Special ops is a hugely popular paintball format. There are websites and communities dedicated solely to special ops paintball. If you are keen to get into special ops paintball, go down to your local field and ask about meet ups and game days. Special ops paintball is certainly not for the faint hearted, but it is as close to real life battle as you can get on the paintball field.

You may be fast and cunning and you may have a very organized team. But, you need to remember that in order to win in paintball, you have to have more than these things in the battlefield. You will also need to have equal or better firepower than your opponent. Indeed, having the bigger stick than the other guy has its advantages and in this case, you need to have a better gun.

If you and your team members want to win, then it is a good idea that you should carefully examine the paintball guns you plan on buying before you actually purchase them.

When examining the paintball gun, you first need to consider the firing system. Basically, there are three types of firing systems in paintball guns. The first is the electro-pneumatic, the second is gas powered, and the third is mechanical. There are differences between these firing systems and these differences may mean winning or losing a battle.

So, just what are the differences between these firing systems?

The electro-pneumatic fire firing system will depend on an onboard battery for power. The electrical power moves the gears inside the gun which will cock the piston as well as fire it. The piston is responsible for making the blast which launches the paintball in the air and towards its target.

The great thing about the electro-pneumatic paintball gun is that it is able to do multiple shots. You can set it to 3 paintball round bursts, 6 bursts and you can even choose to go full automatic if you plan on ambushing someone or providing suppressing fire for your team mates.

Paintball guns with this kind of firing system will be able to shoot 300 to 900 rounds per minute. And, it can provide a velocity of 200 to 400 feet per second which is perfect for someone who has a distant target.

The second type of firing system is the mechanical firing system. Paintball guns that uses this system is great as it will not require any batteries for it to operate. It uses the spring type mechanism and most guns of this class are single shot paintball guns. However, there are some mechanical paintball guns that use the blowback system that forces excess air to cock the gun for the next shot.

The only weakness of this kind of gun is the firepower itself. It only fires a velocity of 200 to 275 feet per second, which is not good for long range shots. However, if you plan on playing CQB, this is a great gun to use as you don't have to worry about batteries or compressed air to run out.

The last type of firing system is the gas powered firing system. It uses pressurized gas, such as HFC134a or compressed air to shoot paintballs. Because it also uses the blowback system, you can shoot guns with this firing system on semi-automatic or automatic. It is also a lot more powerful than the mechanical firing system.

Paintball guns ranges from a hundred dollars to a thousand dollars. The more expensive the gun is, the more reliable it will usually be.

Remember these things and you can be sure that you will be able to find the best paintball guns for you and your teammates.

This will cause paintballs to break upon hitting somebody but will only cause mild bruising to a person. This could blind a person, though, thus making it a necessity to wear a face mask or eye protection such as goggles.

There are four types of paintball guns and they are classified according to their firing modes. These are pump action guns, semi-automatic guns, fully automatic guns and ramping-mode guns.

In the early days of paintball, all guns were pump action. Each shot would require the person wanting to shoot to manually pull back the bolt to let a paintball fall in front of it and then manually push forward the bolt to bring the paintball in the position to fire. This was excruciatingly slow when compared to other firing modes used today, but is loved by many people as it teaches the importance of a person's skill with his gun.

Semi-automatic guns were designed so that when the trigger is pushed down, a shot will be fired and the bolt moves back automatically to load the new paintball in position for the next trigger pull. This allows the player to increase firing frequency and accuracy because he will not have to manually pump the gun.

Fully automatic guns are those that will continue to fire paintballs as long as the trigger is held down. The Tippman SMG was the first to feature a fully-automatic gun.

Ramping-mode guns are guns that can fire up to 15 shots per second. This type of gun prevents abuse from semi-automatic guns or fully-automatic guns that can shoot more and can cause injury to other people.

These types of guns are used in different kinds of situations, usually to prove who the best player in a tournament is. Pump action guns promote using stealth and are desired by experienced players because of the challenge they present. Semi-automatic guns are used by players hoping to improve their shooting accuracy and since they do not have to pump every shot, they are able to concentrate more on their targets. Fully automatic guns are used by infantry and middle men in attacking another team's base. Ramping-mode guns are for controlled environments where there is a specific rule to prevent injury and other problems.

If you're an avid paintball player, you can't avoid being hit by the paintballs. The travel speed of paintballs is around 290 miles per hour and if a part of your skin is hit, it will absorb the impact. A .68 caliber is enough to generate this speed and it can definitely sting. How can you stop the stinging sensation?

There are ways to take out the sting in playing paintball. If you have the right equipments and paintball gear, you will hardly feel any sting. After a tiring day of playing paintball, you will have fewer or no welts at all.

The first way to avoid any head injury is to wear the proper helmet. Some players also wear padded head wraps, stocking cap, or baseball hats to protect their 'melons'. Paintball shots on the head can badly hurt and so you need to have the proper head protective gear.

You will experience the worst sting if you get hit on the neck. If you don't want to end up with a stinging neck, don't forget to wear neoprene neck protections to prevent stinging.

For your hands and fingers, you need to wear gloves. Paintball hits on the hands are quite painful and since your hands are exposed most of the time when you play paintball, you should wear padded gloves. Aside from the gloves, you also need to purchase forearm protections. Just like the hands, your forearms are always exposed when you're aiming for a shot.

It is also important that you protect your shin and knees. You can actually find a protective gear that is specifically designed to cover the whole shin area and your knees as well. Your knees will be at work most of the time because you will most likely slide or crouch. Knee protectors are very important to prevent common knee injuries.

You can find most of the paintball gears in paintball shops or stores. Major online stores also offer some paintball gear. But before making any purchase, you must know more about the important paintball gear and accessories. If you want, you can conduct a research online about paintball and its accessories. Playing paintball can cost you huge money over the long run because of the many accessories it involves. Besides, without the proper paintball gear, you can't play the game because you will only compromise your safety.

Among the basic paintball stuff that you need to purchase are the paintball gun or marker, the paintball, and the protective gear. Stinging can be prevented if you have all the necessary equipments. Don't forge to bring all your paintball stuff when you go to the playing field and it would help if you have a paintball gear bag as well. That way, you will not forget anything once you decide to play the sport.

You don't have to feel any stinging sensation when you're playing paintball. As long as you wear the protective gears, paintball stings can be avoided. Not only that, you can also avoid possible paintball injuries when playing.

Hurry and join the sport like all other avid paintball players. Paintball is really quite popular these days. Regardless of age, sex, and status in life, you can play the sport as long as you have the appropriate gears. Experience real action and fun through paintball.

It's easy to type the phrase "paintball stores" into your web browser and see what comes up by way of choices for paintball supplies and equipment. But before you start spending your hard-earned cash at the paintball stores online, there are some things to think about first.

For one, what brand names do they offer? The top brands of paintball supplies and equipment are Mil-Sim, Special Ops, Dynasty, Dye, Ion, Zap, and a just a few others. If they only offer one or two brands, or don't offer any brand names at all, chances are you should keep shopping other paintball stores.

Also, how up to date are they with the latest equipment and supplies? Every year the engineers and designers of paintball equipment and supplies work hard to improve upon the current equipment that's out there, and this means more than just updating the looks. Paintball stores should have the latest markers, both pistol and rifle style, along with interchangeable barrels, safety gear, barrel socks, hoppers, and everything else. Most brands come out with new styles every year because they're lighter, faster, easier to handle, or have improvements in some other important area as well. If you only see paintball stores that have equipment manufactured several years ago, keep shopping.

Additionally, those that are real paintball enthusiasts know the best equipment and supplies to get, so paintball stores run by those who actually play the game are probably going to be the best ones for you. See if they have information about their owners or operators, including any paintball games they've played or tournaments they've been in.

Most online paintball stores also conduct forums and boards for other players to get the latest information, some questions answered about strategy or equipment, and also have information about local fields, games, and tournaments. If you're going to be shopping for paintball supplies, it only makes sense that your online store help you out with questions and with finding places to use that equipment as well!

Sure, there are brick-and-mortar paintball stores or even sporting goods stores that you can shop, but usually you find much better selection and support for the game itself with online paintball stores. Since paintball equipment and accessories can cost quite a few dollars, it pays to have a store where you can get the latest and best equipment and the support you need to use it properly.

Paintball is usually played in neighborhood backyards, somewhere in the woods, or on abandoned or empty lots. Though it is usually alright to hold paintball games at these places, there are safer venues for having paintball competitions.

Many fields specially designed for paintball games are being developed in the U.S. These organized fields allow paintball players to have their games in a safe environment.

It is recommended that paintball games be held in commercial fields rather than backyards and empty lots. Commercial fields have referees who know how to play the game in a safe manner. In addition, commercial fields offer several
choices when it comes to types of field, making the games more interesting and challenging for the players. Most importantly, these fields have insurance, and are in the proper zone.

If one decides to play in the woods, make sure permission is granted to play there. No one wants to have a game interrupted by an angry landowner because his or her property is being trespassed upon.

The scope of the playing arena should be determined, and the boundaries marked with neon tape so that players will know where and/or where not to go.

What are the factors to consider when scouting for a field to hold the games?

First, there is the price. The going rates for field rentals range from $15-20, plus the fees for gun rentals and paintballs. Secondly, one should inquire if the place serves food and drinks to customers. Lastly, one should inquire about their playing hours.

One of the best fields in the country for playing paintball is Robinhood Paintball located in Havre de Grace, Maryland. They provide different kinds of paintball games, such as recreational and tournament style plays. Robinhood Paintball has a total of six playing fields that give new gaming experiences for users because of its constant rearrangement. Considering the experience of the staff, their willingness to ensure that players will have a good time while staying on the premises, and the prices that Robinhood Paintball charge are fair enough. They will also guarantee the safety of the equipment that the players will use.

Aside from Robinhood, there are other fields in Maryland that offer good services to players. There is Maryland Paintball on Route 40 and Outdoor Adventures in Bowie.

When engaging in paintball games, just make sure to take all the necessary precautions in order to have a good AND safe time. Always remember to check the fields for potential danger, and to observe all the rules so that nobody gets hurt.

Beginners can work well with cheap or inexpensive paintball guns but as they progress and become more familiar with the sport, they will soon be unsatisfied with their paintball guns. There is nothing wrong in deciding to get a new paintball gun but if you want to make a good purchase, here are some things that you need to bear in mind.

* Making a rush purchase – never make this mistake. Before you shop for your own paintball gun, you must first get the feel of the game. Try to play the game with your friends or family and use different types of guns. You rent the guns first so that you will be able to compare the different types of guns in terms of performance, action, and the pressure system used.

You can also ask some pointers in buying a gun from the veterans or professionals of the sport. You must know what kind of player you are and the games that you like to play. You must familiarize yourself with the game and your special game techniques. After doing so, you can already identify what type of gun you need.

* Not conducting a bit of research – if you want to make a good purchase, you must conduct your own basic research. If you have friends who also play paintball, ask them if you can borrow their paintball guns. Test the different types of guns so that you can assess its performance. You can conduct an online research and look into product reviews (on paintball guns), content websites, paintball forums, and other information resources. Gathering enough knowledge about the sport and the various equipments will help you choose the best paintball gun in the market.

* Looking at the gun's physical features – when purchasing a paintball gun, you must not merely look at the physical appearance of the gun. Even if a certain gun looks great, it should not be your sole basis for making the purchase. T would be best to purchase guns with a matt or black shade so that you will not be easily caught in the field. Some guns have metallic colors which are quite attractive but during the game, it will tend to give away your position.

* Purchasing expensive and difficult to maintain paintball guns – some guns require frequent maintenance. Try to avoid buying this kind of gun and instead you must go for guns with no fuss and frills. You can't tweak with your tools while you're playing right? You'd be better off with a much cheaper gun which requires less maintenance.

* Never shop for a paintball gun without adequate knowledge – sellers are always looking for clueless individuals who want to purchase the best paintball gun. If you have no idea of what to purchase, you can be easily persuaded into buying a gun that you will not like in the end. When you shop for the gun, you must know what to consider and you must be armed with adequate knowledge.

Those are the things that you need to avoid when making a paintball gun purchase. Don't make the same mistakes that other buyers made in the past. You must be knowledgeable and you must know exactly what you want with a paintball gun. Shop around and do a bit of research. This is the way to get a good buy.

If you're an avid paintball player, you already know by now that there are lots of paintball gear and accessories that you need to carry. Here's an excellent solution for you to keep all your accessories and things in place – get a paintball gear bag.

For those who have been playing paintball for a long time, you probably have several paintball guns and other paintball accessories. Not everyone is good at being organized. But if you want to make sure that you bring everything with you in the paintball field or arena, the gear bag is just what you need.

Being organized is very important especially if you're already playing the sport. A disorganized team will definitely lose the game. When shopping for the gar bag, there are some things to consider.

The gear bag should have several pockets for the different paintball accessories. The paintball mask should also have a separate pocket to avoid scratches. Just like the mask, the gun and the paintball tank should have separate pockets as well. The little stuffs can be kept in the smaller compartments of the gear bag. Keeping things organized inside the gear bag will make it easier for you to locate paintball accessories when you need them.

Once you find a paintball gear bag, buy it and designate spots for each of the paintball accessories. All the paintball stuffs can be placed in one gear bag so that when you need to go to the field or arena, you will simply grab your bag and then go on your way. After playing the paintball game, you must put all the stuffs in place. When you're home, make sure that you clean the gear bag and prepare the rest of the stuff so that you're ready to go for the next game.

Paintball is gaining a lot of popularity these days. More and more paintball accessories are now being used and avid players are always purchasing new stuffs. With so many stuffs to store, you will need a bag to keep everything organized.

The gear bags are widely available in local sports stores or in online stores. There are also exclusive paintball stores which sell gear bags. Shop around and find a good deal. Never purchase the first gear bag you see. You have to consider how much paintball stuffs and accessories you have. That way, you can determine the size of the bag. You have to ensure that everything can go inside the bag so that you can easily take them with you when you play paintball.

Now that you know the gear bag's size, you can now look into the different designs of the bags. It would be best to choose a color that's not so bright. Did you know that the gear bag can tell so much about an individual's personality? You have to choose the best bag that you can find at an affordable price. With so many bag choices, choosing just one can be a difficult task but as long as you know your needs and wants, you can easily choose the one that will suit your best.

Browse the online stores now for gear bags that you can use for your paintball accessories. If you can find a local sports store which sell paintball gear bags, the better because you can examine the bag.

It's no surprise that paintball tactics are much like the tactics that one uses in a real battlefield. After all, the objective is just about the same – keep yourself from enemy fire while flushing out your opponents.

Many such paintball tactics are common sense, but of course it's difficult to know these without someone pointing them out to you, and very difficult to remember them when you're in the heat of battle. For example, a good paintball tactic when you come to an obstacle like a fence or a barrel is to never look over it when you can look around it. Looking over it exposes more of your body to your opponent, and they are probably expecting you to look over the object. By looking around it, you keep yourself compact and out of sight.

Another common paintball tactic is to keep yourself on the ground, on your belly. This again seems like common sense, but players can easily get caught up in the adrenalin of the game and start running, which can easily lead them into a trap or over a tripwire.

Good paintball tactics also include fooling your opponent. For instance, if someone continues to shoot at an enemy, it means that they have a good angle on him or her. If someone is shooting at you continuously, you need to change position. However, if you have a good position on your opponent, you may want to consider hesitating with your shots, making them think that they're safe. This can draw them out in the open. Paintball tactics are as much mental as they are physical after all.

When you're on the battlefield, you always need to take quick peeks rather than long gazes, even if you don't see anything or anyone. Remember that your opponents are practicing their paintball tactics which may mean they're just being patient, waiting for you to expose yourself long enough for them to get off a shot. By always moving even when you're just scoping out an area, you'll keep yourself better protected.

Again, these paintball tactics are pretty much just good common sense, but they can easily be forgotten when you have your mind on your objective and forget to exercise patience on the field. If you can remember that the game is just as mental as it is physical, you'll be a much better player.
