The first thing to do is make sure that none of your spokes are loose. To check, grab each spoke in turn and try to shake it back and forth. If the spoke wobbles, or makes pinging and grating noises, it's loose. If it's loose, add tension to the spoke by turning the spokey anti-clockwise with your finger and thumb pressure.

Some places to check for appraisals for sports memorabilia include:

Make sure you sell to the right person or business. Just because an item is listed as one amount doesn't mean the dealer will agree to pay that amount.

Sweat stains don't necessarily make a jersey authentic. Anyone can wear a jersey long enough to sweat in it and try to pass it off as the real thing. Watch for smudged autographs, dog-eared pages in books, worn edges on cards. An appraiser should be trained to notice small details that would decrease the value of your collector's item. There is a system with trading cards called grading. A graded card has a more reasonable guarantee of authenticity. Graded cards are sealed to discourage card switching, a low tactic of some sellers. The appraiser should know to recognize graded cards and their value.

When my daughter was involved in card collecting and bought a box of cards that seemed like a great deal to her, she was soon sorely disappointed. The only authentic card was the one in the display on the front of the box. All the rest were fakes, worthless. It was a waste of her hard-earned and long saved allowance. So beware of this type of scam when you buy a group of items. The appraisal value will be zero!

A friend of my husband once had a girlfriend who collected stamps. I naively offered to help, knowing nothing of stamp collecting. I began pulling stamps off envelopes to mail to her. She wrote back upon receipt, thanking me but advising that the stamps be cut out of the envelope was I to continue to 'help'. I'd sent useless items by ruining their condition. 1. Brakes & Accesories

Go-cart racing brakes are more complex than other brakes because of their parts, like the brake drum, the brake band, the disc brake assembly, brake cable with a U-clamp attached on it, brake pads that come in pairs, zinc-covered brake pedals and the brake kit that holds all the appropriate hardware.

2. Clutches

There are two kinds of go-cart racing clutches: the pulley clutches and the sprocket clutches. The pulley clutches are go-cart racing parts with outside diameter of three inches, while four inches are for the sprocket clutches. Pulley clutches are more expensive, though.

3. Chains and Links

Be sure your go-cart racing is powered with the right engine for optimum performance.

6. Frames

To acquire the best go-cart frame, take note if it's affordable yet of great quality such that additional welding is unnecessary. This particular go-cart racing part must be durable and complete, meaning it has a steering hoop, belly pan and the important brackets and bushings. Ideal weight is 31 pounds.

7. Fuel and Engines Accessories

Included in the fuel and engine accessories are the quality fittings, the fender washers and engine mounting plates.

8. Shock Absorbers

There are two kinds of shock absorbers for go-cart racing parts: the hydraulic and the mechanical. Hydraulic shock absorbers' maximum performance is indicated by its single or double chamber hydraulics and needed springs. 16. Tie Rods
