Go! Go! Go Cart Racing!
Let's straighten this off the bat. Go cart racing involves a great deal of physical ability.
Correct? Read on.
Go cart racing is not an old dad start sport. It is not even a new kids-on-the-block game. It is one of those you simply have to settle with because you cannot afford to drive the big toys.
Today, go cart racing is one of the coolest sport "on wheels" as claimed by Rob Lear, an expert on the racing tracks.
Next in line to its four-wheeled counterpart, go cart racing equally requires a high level of strength to sail over the racing tracks. And like any racing sports, go cart racing also requires a good hand-eye coordination and endurance to go through many laps of random pounding while struggling for position.
So, for those who have a need for speed, you have to know first how to head off by and start the go cart racing with a smooth flow. So here's what you have to do:
1. Look for your neighborhood Go Cart Racing track.
Before you head off and start pumping a heavy dose of adrenaline rush for any go cart racing yourself, try to be on the spectators' first. Try to watch the go cart races first and analyse how those experts do those things.
If you still have time for chit-chat, go out of your way and talk to some people who are in the race. It is a great way of finding people who are vying to sell their go carts or some go cart parts.
2. Buy your go cart.
It's a must that you buy your go cart first before you register for any go cart races available in your place. If you don't have enough money to get yourself a brand new go cart, you may settle for a used one. You may ask a couple or four drivers to the max and ask them the price of a second hand go cart. In this way, you will be able to assess how much you can afford a used go cart so that you can start your go cart racing at once.
Or, you may look for one on your local go cart track and find yourself a modified model. This can be very useful especially if you are just a newbie in the world go cart racing. The modified types are usually optimised for the limited situation.
There are, in fact, many ways how to obtain a go cart for your go cart racing. You can even find lots of them in many second hand stores.
However, the most important thing, when you are only still starting a career in go cart racing, is to look for a sponsor. Usually, it is the sponsor that does all the financial aspects of providing you the necessary equipments needed in go cart racing.
2. Look for a handy mechanic.
Go carts are not typical toys that you can assemble and fix without the skill of an expert. It is mechanical and it needs an expert mechanic so as to do the job. Though, it doesn't necessarily that you find someone who is professionally inclined. A member of your family, maybe even your dad, may do as long as they know something about mechanics.
But of you cannot get the services for free; opt for the sponsorship of your local mechanic shop. They are usually great sponsors for your go cart racing at the same time can provide you with enough mechanical skills that you need.
In fact, they will be the first persons who will help you and guide you once you start your go cart racing career. From them you will learn the rudiments of go cart racing, the skill you have to know, and best of all, how to take good care of your go cart.
3. Don't forget the insurance.
Like any racing activity, go cart racing can be very dangerous also. Accidents do happen, and it is always the unexpected that comes out. That is why it is best that you insure yourself and your go cart before anything happens to you.
Check your local insurance company if they have insurance policies for you as added protection while you're engaged in go cart racing. If not, you can find them at any go cart clubs and organizations.
So, now that you are ready to start your new found sports, bear in mind always the value of sportsmanship. Love for sports should not be an all out competition. It is with having fun that counts the most.
