This league consists of basically two types of series Firestone Indy lights and Indy Car series in DIRECTTV HD. Both of these series are considered to be the flagship of the Indy Car racing league.

The top three contenders are divided by the difference of 5 points whereas the rest of the participants are divided by the difference of 2 points. The contenders from the rank eleventh till eighteenth are having the difference of one point and the rest of the participant will be scoring twelve points for the race and thereafter all the drivers are scoring ten points.

Indy car racing league is unique in many ways and the most important factor that differentiates the Indy Car league with others is that the structure of the point system is such that it measures the opposite racers of deficiency of there negative awareness.
