When words like theses are used to describe paintball, it makes the sport seem more violent and dangerous than it really is. Next, you don't have to spend money on body armor and a full pad set. Paintball doesn't really hurt that much, because you are pumped up with adrenaline. Also, the word "helmet" doesn't really mean anything to a paintballer. The correct term is mask or goggle, and this is the only protection you always need on the field. I am not meaning to bash this article as it does contain a lot of good info. I just want to make sure that newcomers to the sport don't get a jaded or skewed view of paintball and are able to have a more enjoyable first experience.
